ClimateLaunchpad applications open!

People smiling to camera. TEXT: Make a global impact, Climate Launchpad.

What is ClimateLaunchpad?

ClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition. Our mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change. The competition creates a stage for those ideas. The competition was founded and initiated by EIT Climate-KIC  – the European Union’s major climate innovation initiative – and facilitated across Australia by Climate-KIC Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Curtin University is sponsoring the Perth 2-day boot camp.

Applications close 10 June – Apply now!

Who can apply to ClimateLaunchpad?

The competition is open to any Australian resident, 18 years and older, with an innovative green idea – whether it’s fully fledged or sketched on the back of a coaster. As an early stage start-up, SME, researcher, student, public organisation, consultant or anyone else you’re welcome.

We encourage you to apply as a team of at least 2 people. You don’t have a team mate, yet? You can still apply and if successful invite a colleague or friend to attend the Boot Camp with you.

What can I win?

Prizes differ per city. The top-10 teams at the Global Pitch Final win direct access to the EIT Climate-KIC accelerator. All other Global Finalists get a chance to pitch their idea in front of the review board of EIT Climate-KIC Accelerator to gain access to the programme. Last but not least: the overall Winner of the Global Pitch Final receives € 10,000, the runner up gets € 5,000 and the idea that comes in third place wins € 2,500. All prizewinners are responsible for any taxes, wire transfer costs and other possible costs related to receiving the prize money.

Climate-KIC Australia supports the most promising start-ups through various pipelines and pathways with our many national partners. Participating in the Australian ClimateLaunchpad can also give you access into other competitions, Pre- and Accelerator Programs, social impact programs and other networks.
