Who needs to read this?

Staff who teach in:

  • Semester 1
  • Trimester 1A
  • OpenUnis Study Period 1
  • OpenUnis Session 1
  • Curtin Online 1
  • Uni Term 2
  • Study Period 4

eVALUate is now open for students enrolled in the above study periods to give feedback about their units and about teachers who requested feedback about their teaching.

Students just need to log in to OASIS and go to the My Studies tab. Participating puts them in the running to win great cash prizes!

Teaching staff – please encourage students to give feedback

Please encourage your students to give feedback. You can do this by announcing in class that feedback is open or posting a message in Blackboard.

We also have a slideshow and YouTube clip you can use to help promote eVALUate to students. Click here to download these tools (you’ll be prompted to log in first).

Student feedback gives Curtin the opportunity to assess the effectiveness of units and helps us identify strengths and areas for improvement. It also allows academics to get individual feedback on their teaching.

View response rates

Teaching staff can view response rates for unit and teaching surveys on a daily basis (it updates overnight). Just log in to the eVALUate website as a staff member and when your My Summary page appears, click on View response rate next to the unit(s) under Unit Evaluation or Teaching Evaluation.

All staff can view response rates by School from next week onwards on the the eVALUate website (just click on ‘Response rates by School’ in the news section of the home page).

Are you a unit coordinator?

If you’re a unit coordinator and the unit(s) you coordinate don’t appear on your My Summary page underneath Unit Evaluation, this means you’re not in our system as the unit coordinator. Please contact us at evaluate@curtin.edu.au for assistance in resolving this issue.

Students have until 30 June to give their feedback and reports will be available for staff to download from 10 July (or 17 July for Quarter 2 units).
