Network drive maintenance

Background

The file storage system requires a series of software patching to ensure it is operating optimally.

 

When is this going to happen?

On Saturday 25 August 2018, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, access to all network drives are expected to be available during the maintenance period. However, you may experience degraded performance on file access. Some Operating Systems may experience a brief drive outage.

 

How will this affect you?

Staff who attempt to access the networks drives during the maintenance may experience degraded performance of:

  • Staff home (I:) and shared drives (J:, L:)
  • Research DMP drive (R:)
  • Transfer drive (T:)
  • Application drive (including Student One and Finance One) (U:)
  • Staff FTP service (as they connect to I: and/or R: drives)
  • NFS mounted drives
