New look Staff Portal launching soon!
Staff Portal is getting a new look from 22 May 2019. This project has been a collaboration between Curtin IT Services and People and Culture.
What is happening
Curtin is transitioning from the IBM platform that currently hosts the Staff Portal, to the WordPress system, which is more widely used for Curtin’s websites and better aligns with Curtin’s web publishing strategy.
Impact to staff
When the new look Staff Portal launches in late May, there will be very minimal changes to functionality, with the main change being how the portal actually looks. There will also be a new user-centric navigation and improved search.
From 6pm 22 May your homepage will be changed to the new Staff Portal. The Staff Portal web address remains unchanged at staffportal.curtin.edu.au.
The Portal will work on recent versions of the following browsers:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
As we approach the transition to the new Portal, staff will be unable to edit their staff profile information. This restriction will be in place from 14 to 22 May. Changes to publications made in Elements during this time will only appear after 22 May.
